Loren Brelsford, owner of Blendon Gardens, has been creating beautiful landscapes for over five decades. Raised in Newcomerstown, Ohio, his passion for horticulture began at age 10, working alongside his father in their wholesale nursery. These early years instilled in Loren a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the effort required to build something meaningful.

 

In 1968, while still a college junior, Loren founded Blendon Gardens, inspired by the nearby Blendon Woods. Armed with a degree in Landscape Horticulture from The Ohio State University he began designing landscapes for friends and referrals, sourcing plants from his father’s nursery. Loren’s enduring relationships with both residential clients and large-scale developers have been key to his success.

 

Today, Blendon Gardens specializes in landscaping, hardscaping, and irrigation, serving everything from private homes to parks, golf courses, and subdivision entryways. Loren’s journey is one of dedication—transforming outdoor spaces and cultivating relationships that last. His passion for horticulture and commitment to excellence remain the foundation of Blendon Gardens' success.
